Eight employment will be created by a premium watch company opening a boutique-type store in the city’s style mile.

Glasgow’s Buchanan Street will now have a TAG Heuer store, according to family-owned jewellers Laings.

The store, which debuts later this year, is the first mono-brand boutique to carry the legendary TAG Heuer label.

Eight local jobs, including a shop manager, supervisor, and other sales roles, will be generated as a result of the new showroom, which will be housed in the space that high street fashion company Diesel formerly called home.

“Our TAG Heuer Boutique will offer an immersive experience for our clients, showcasing its renowned Swiss watchmaking expertise, passion for precision, and cutting-edge technology,” stated Stuart McDowell, Managing Director of Laings.

With a variety of collections on show, we are eager to welcome customers into our store, whether it be for their first foray into the world of luxury Swiss timepieces or to indulge an expanding enthusiasm for TAG Heuer. For customers to interact with our in-store TAG Heuer consultants and have a genuinely remarkable experience, our boutique will be the ideal setting.

“We are thrilled to be opening this new TAG Heuer boutique in Glasgow in partnership with Laings, which will be our first Mono-brand boutique together,” said Rob Diver, Managing Director of TAG Heuer UK and Ireland. This new location, which is a part of an exciting new adventure with Laings, will allow us to provide clients with a truly immersive in-store brand experience in Glasgow’s city centre.

This information was released shortly after Laings revealed it will invest £5 million in a new flagship location at Rowan House on Buchanan Street in Glasgow.
