Lake Folsom

Barracuda fishermen are very successful on the coastline of the main peninsula between the two tributaries of the main river of Lake Folsom. They also thrive in Folsom Point and Beal’s Point near the dam.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is a 35-acre lake in Iron County, California. Its lowest point is 32 feet deep. Species include musk, breadfish, largemouth bass, pike and walleye. Since the lake is located in California and Nevada, you must have an appropriate freshwater fishing license in one of these two states to be able to fish legally. It can be used as live bait only after it is caught in the water. There is a list of live bait you can use, just make sure you are up to date before fishing.

New Melones Lake

The stream channel and entrance are ideal places for fishing. Pike still exists in the area. Pike anglers fishing from the bank have achieved record successes under the Highway 49 bridge and near the fishing spot at Glory Hole. Barracudas can be found near underwater trees, near steep slopes, and on the head of the arm.

Comanche Reservoir

Comanche Reservoir is an artificial lake in the San Joaquin Valley, California, at the intersection of Amado, Calaveras, and San Joaquin counties. The Comanche Dam, built in 1963, controls the waters.
