As two of the closest friends “turn passion into reality,” a high-end watch manufacturer is building a store on a fashionable Sheffield street.
The old Igloo lettings location at 273 Ecclesall Road, next to Marks & Spencer, has been acquired by Gabrielli and Co. “After much hard work and dedication, we are proud to announce that we are under renovations of our new shop, which is a huge milestone for us at Gabrielli and Co.,” reads a post on the company’s Instagram page.
“It all began with two best friends who had a huge passion for timepieces and who are now making their dream come true. We simply can’t express how grateful we are for all the support and attention we have received thus far. As of right now, we are closed to the public till the showroom reopens. We appreciate having you all here. We forward seeing you soon.
The company was founded in 2011 and has its address on file at Suite 112, Queen Street in the heart of the city. Che Gabriel Brown, Niall Sharp, and John Waugh are the directors. According to Companies House, John Waugh and Nicola Waugh are the only owners of the shares. UK Bullion, which is located at 339 Ecclesall Road, is the other jewellers in the neighbourhood.
Igloo closed in September, according to Mark Holmes of Crosthwaite Commercial, and Gabrielli and Co. signed in November.
It’s good to have an independent store down there, he continued. Variety encourages foot traffic. I’m hoping it starts soon.
